someone gotta tell me what show the yellowjackets fandom have been watching to have the perception of jackie they do.
i saw a tiktok that said jackie never would have let shauna sleep outside— BRO SHE WAS THE ONE THAT TOLD SHAUNA TO GET OUTSIDE FIRST. pregnant shauna. literally told her to go out in the cold and that’s how she ended up out there herself.
the same jackie who tried to take the first food they found for herself. s1ut shamed nat then literally pursued the boy she knew she liked. read shauna’s journal. got mad that people expected her to help out. pressured travis after he confessed to being in love with nat. and so much more but i fear i’ve already said too much.

@cosmicrei YES YES YES TO ALL OF THIS. i agree i don’t think she was a ‘bad person’ i think she was an entitled teenager enabled by her parents (just look at how her mom is) and never got the chance to grow up and find her place in the world outside of the high school setting. also yes with the the shauna thing I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE ACT LIKE SHE WAS A HORRIBLE FRIEND. obviously sleeping with jackie’s boyfriend was not okay, and im not trying to minimise that, but that was literally the only thing she ever did. and honestly, shitty as it was, i get why she would too

@restlesswaters I SAW THE SAME TIKTOK AND I WAS REALLY SURPRISED. someone even commented something like "the fact that she had to quote a movie because she had nothing bad to say about shauna"… are they ignoring that the whole reason why she has nothing bad to say about shauna is because she NEVER said or did anything wrong to jackie (except about the jeff thing)? speaking from my perspective (someone who has had to deal with people like jackie, unfortunately) the only "good" thing i have to say about her is that i don't think she's a bad person, at least not on PURPOSE. i think she was simply so used to people endorsing everything she did or said, that when she saw that they no longer treated her the same way (a leader, someone you look up to) she thought they were the "bad guys" because they were leaving her aside, not understanding that it was her actions that separated her more and more from the group but clearly she was not an angel as many people believe. she did and said fucked up things, but for some reason people ignore it or turn a blind eye and the truth is that i would like to know why, because they talk about her as if she were a saint, when well… neither she nor anyone in the group is at this point

my life currently feels like it’s being written by shonda rhymes istg. wdym i spent my weekend at an emergency vet hospital, got into debt for it, and now firefighters are storming my house bc the microwave is on fire. absolutely insane.

i’m finally writing after producing nothing for a month, hoping to get some updates out soon, but no promises as my kitten is currently sick.
he’s okay at this specific moment, but that is very much subject to change. poor guy cannot catch a break rn. he can’t keep his food down, so i have him on a bland diet which is not great because it’s constipating him so his stomach is tender. i fear an xray looms.
so yeah that’s my monthly announcement.
