I enjoy writing entertaining stories with characters that are believable, balanced and energetic. I like creating the dissonance between loveable personae and loathsome psychotics and hopefully within the same character. I gave up watching the nightly news when the realities became more gruesome than I could think up as fiction. For my works, I pull from life experiences, travels, and continuing self-education to create historical and geographical references that are as real as can be without dipping into "reality." What that means to me, is that I will create situations that may not fit the exact geography, in other words, I may have a need for a specifically named landmark, such as a mountain, or I may want to do away with the landmark altogether. So, New Jersey may not have a boardwalk, Fisherman's wharf, i.e., whatever I name it, may be outside of LA or San Diego. I try to use names that have meaning to a character. For example, Dickens classic character, Mr. Choakumchild was as aptly named as possible for a school teacher character. I hope you enjoy my stories and would appreciate both positive and negative critiques as well as any recommendations that you as the reader think I could have done better.
