@starlithour I promise I won't, even though sometimes it takes a long time. I have a full life outside of writing so I don't get to sit down and focus on it as much as I'd like. But I have so many ideas for the story - it's a real treat when I do have a chapter complete and ready to share. And when people are actually reading and commenting, like you do, it's very motivating so thank you! It feels so validating that people are really connecting with Anna's story.
I just recently found your story. I read it all in one breath. I can't even express how much I love it, and I can't help but think about the future (I apologize in advance, as English is not my native language).

Hi all - remember me? Thank you for your patience as I've been working through a loss in my family and haven't felt much like writing for a while. But I have been recently getting back into things and - yes - there's a new chapter of the Anna story! She's in London now, having started her new job at the Daily Mail and things are...well, not quite to her expectations so far.

omg anna was out with julia and john saw them and like followed them and was like Anna wtf and got all mad that she kept having a baby from him, not knowing she was his. and anna tells him while he’s screaming at her and he just stood there in shock as she walked away. my dream was def not as good as how you could’ve written it

@starlithour I'm feeling a little better every day - it's just a process. I wasn't feeling like doing much for a long while but escaping to Anna's world periodically actually proved to be very therapeutic and now I've got work to share again! Thanks for coming back to the story - can't wait for you to read about all the things I've got in store for Anna in this part...including John...perhaps!

Chapter (when I'm) 64 is here! It's the end of Part 2 and the end of Anna's time in Scotland. She'll get to spend a couple of days at home in Liverpool, trying to patch things up with her dad before her big move to London.
I'll be taking a bit of a break to get some Part 3 writing accomplished before posting again but I hope you'll find this a nice tidy wrap-up to the Kilbarchan storyline.

I know that this is completely random but I just wanted to say how much I love your story and how evident it is the amount of care and time you have put into it.
I’ve been missing Anna recently and went back to some of the earlier chapters and it’s given me so much nostalgia for some reason!
Thank you so much for sharing this absolute gem with us, it doesn’t receive enough love.
I think it’s really important that you delved deeper into Anna’s time in Scotland, harking back into a time period whet many women were shipped away from there family in secret to give birth and give up their children. You really brought to life the emotions many of those women would have been feeling, and I thank you for that piece of information that i had not known prior to reading your story.
Ive just recently started to write and post my own fan fiction made me appreciate the works that many authors put out. The fact that someone is reading and appreciating and thinking about a story really is so important for everyone, recognition is so important.
So thank you for posting this work on Wattpad so i could find it. Can’t wait to read the next chapter!
@HerasBigFatUglyCow This has given me all the fuzzy feelings! I'm honestly blown away that people are reacting as kindly to it as they are. Starting the story was a bit of an exercise in nostalgia for me, too. I used to write similar stories with a friend as a teenager and kinda wondered if I could still do it. The Anna story is actually built on the bones of one of those teenage stories, written when I was about 15 or 16? In that story, the protagonist goes away to Scotland and then the story picks up again a year or two later, when she moved back to England. But I never explored that bit where she was just existing in Scotland, dealing with all her emotions about having left her whole life behind. I wanted to do that part justice in this story and really explore her journey growing up in these times. I've already gone way beyond what I expected to do with Anna and keep finding that there's still story to be told! Who knew there was so much there? This has been a joyful experiment for me, too, and I'm so grateful to all who are patient enough to wait for me to slowly build this story piece by piece, as I do care about making it good. I'm not consistent about posting but I am determined to finish, no matter how long it takes. Thanks for all your support and excitement about the story! It really keeps me going. Happy to share that I just posted Chapter 63, too, so please enjoy!
