Hello hello!

I’ve been ironing out some plans for 2026 and considering some questions/feedback I’ve received, I wanted to hop in and share a few details on some specific dates, plans, and changes to come.

To Lose a Raven - I read through all the comments tonight and I hear y’all. The whole reason in publishing to Wattpad is to see what works and what doesn’t work. I essentially view Wattpad as a giant beta test, and I take your feedback seriously. When I get around to this rewrite, I’ll either remove the dating scene entirely or I’ll flesh it out further to show Rosy’s perspective and the conflicting reasons that led her to make that (one-time) choice. If you have any additional feedback or would like to expand - my Gmail is seriously always open ♥️ rhakosauthor@gmail.com

Cheating Minds - I have a loose plan to publish this story to kindle in May 2026, depending on how edits progress. This means that I will likely pull the story from WP in April. And similarly to TLAR, I absolutely have plans to incorporate the feedback yall have shared. Especially regarding the identity theft - as I think this subplot isolated too many readers who felt Jesse should’ve received prison time. I may swap this out with a deeper look at the company fraud he committed - and further explore those office relationships. Which would also add more of a punch at the end when his conspirators turn so easily.

Hive Mind Transition - All of the stories that I noted for transitioning fully to Patreon in my post this past Monday will be taken down from Wattpad on Feb 1st. To clarify, the Patreon is not yet live. More specific details for the go-live date, subscription options, and content will be shared on 1/14 across the Hive Mind Socials.

I’m also very excited to share that all of the members have now been revealed and our team will consist of Lila Fairchild, Nadia Nevsky, Stella Lynn, Sarina Adams, Katie Ivey, and myself ♥️

          	Happy Reading!

@Jenn895 Hey!! Omg, I’m sorry I missed this! I absolutely understand and I appreciate your thoughts on his response being too passive. I do see where you’re coming from. It would be a good opportunity to show him overcoming his own issues in more ways than just his career as well. And I do have a lot of notes around the dating topic for when I get to the point of rewrites - but to confirm, there was a bit of outside influence. She’d been visiting her therapist again and was talking about how she couldn’t move past him and the therapist asked an innocuous question about whether or not she’d ever thought of dating anyone else. Didn’t necessarily nudge her that way, but it put the thought in her head. She gave it a try once, tried her best to keep Luke from finding out, and ultimately hated the experience - and it helped her realize that she CAN live her own life without him - she just doesn’t want to. I ended up scrapping the chapter from her perspective so as not to drag out the breakup for the sake of a novella - but I understand now that this was definitely a mistake. I’d love to get your feedback in my eventual rewrite though to see if it hits the mark. If you’re not already on my socials, I’d love to connect regarding doing a beta read in the future when I get to that point!

I just finished the story, still wiping the tears off my cheeks. lol I hated that she went on a date. It really did not fit in with who she is and how she feels about Luke. I don’t like that she was willing to hurt him like that when dating other people has nothing to do with her gaining independence. It honestly tainted their relationship a bit for me and I don’t think Luke reacted to it in a realistic way. He just immediately accepted the breakup and her moving on. He is too passive, just immediately giving in to what Rosy wants. The whole relationship has been about him catering to her. She realized her dependence on him was an issue but she never seems to realize just how much he does to make her happy without considering himself. I think that’s why her going on a date felt like such a slap in the face. Does she really think she could find someone better than him? Because that’s the only reason you date other people. The man was willing to go his whole life without sex, kissing or even being able to touch her just to be with her.

I think if you leave the dating scene in there, it definitely needs to be fleshed out in order to make sense. Maybe she was pushed to do it by her therapist? We need to know what happened on the date, how far it went and how Rosy felt about it. And we need her and Luke to talk about it and for him to express his hurt over it and for her to make amends to him. That’s just my opinion. I loved the whole series and your writing, just that one part left me confused and it felt like that subject wasn’t really dealt with properly.

@NeenieForever I swear sometimes it feels like you’re inside my head! I agree that the date was a culmination of emotional distance and her own personal struggles. With it being a novella, I tried to stick just to the action-filled scenes that centered around their relationship, but I agree I did the story a disservice not showing Rosy’s struggles. I plan to rewrite them all into novels so I’m hoping it’ll be more understandable once it’s shown on paper. It’s why I think it may likely end up staying as it helps Rosy come to terms with her heart not being mutually exclusive with her co-dependency. And I love your interpretation for CM ♥️ it’s exactly what I was going for! Although it met a lot of scrutiny, I do plan to stick with the timeline and her internal struggles with his deceit. I feel like that’s basically the crux of the matter when we get to the ending - the path she took to grow and adapt. I was thinking I could work the company in a similar way with similar concerns - considering that if she turns him in, he’d likely face prison time. But as she uncovers the other players, showing her plotting out the plan to get him fired and the confrontation with his boss could stand in place of the personal credit card scheme, though I’ll definitely be reaching out to get your feedback. I love how you always see the vision behind the words! ♥️♥️ it makes me feel less crazy

Happpppy New Years!!!!
Right now I’m working on loading four fresh chapters to To Lose a Raven. Beginning with Chapter 11 and ending with Rosy’s altar scene in Chapter 14.
          https://www.wattpad.com/1599122295-to-lose-a-raven-chapter-11-senior-year-college

By the end of the day (1/1), I will load the final four chapters to wrap up this novella. I apologize, I know I’m running a day late - but it’s almost there and I’m so excited to get it out to you guys ♥️

Hey y’all, quick story time!

When I first began writing, the only person in the world to know was my husband. The anonymity never bothered me - but it can be lonely, going it alone. It’s a mine field learning how to find readers and market and publish - a fact that was only made more apparent in Oct when I was introduced to a small gaggle of authors and learned how much easier the process became with a wealth of combined experiences to shine a light on those trickier items. How fun it could be to toss ideas around, brainstorm plots, and share characters.

So a small group of us decided to capitalize on our shared talents and create a place to build our network, to collaborate, and to grow. And now, I am so beyond excited to announce that I will be one of the creators on the Hive Mind Patreon!

          So what does this mean?

In Feb 2026, my WP will see several changes. The Raven Series, Coldplayed, and Cheating Minds will remain - though they will also be listed on the Patreon, under the free tier, so that they can easily be read on either platform. (CM will be pulled once edits are complete)

The stories moving exclusively to Patreon are:
          •Liars, Spies, and Fireflies
          •Giulietta and Romero
          •Sex-Zoned
          •Cyrano de Baguette
          •Ezra and Dani

--Gilded Lore and Days of Blue will be pulled down and remain offline. GL will eventually make its return, exclusive to Patreon. DoB will go a different route, as I plan to rework this novella into a children’s novel.

          So what comes next?

          •Maverick and Maya!
Theirs will be the only new story I bring to WP, but chapters will also be loaded to the FREE-tier of Patreon, one week ahead of WP.

          •Cheating Minds - the SEQUEL!
This story will feature everyone’s favorite friend, Clementine (exclusive to Patreon)

          •And more!

For a chance to win a 3-month subscription, head over to the Hive Mind Creator socials and make a guess at who our final author is - to be revealed on New Years!

I hope to see you there! Happy Reading!

@lconedy @tarnz106 I absolutely understand and respect your decision to avoid subscriptions - and you will definitely see me on Kindle in the near future! I’m loosely aiming for a spring release for a revised Cheating Minds. And I do eventually plan to move all of my stories to Kindle after they are properly revised and edited. I appreciate y’all!

Hi! When’s the next update going to be for Cheating mind?? Also, how many chapters are left until it’s completed?

rhakos

@Zavierr Just loaded one a minute ago! The rest will (hopefully) be up by the end of tomorrow. I may end up editing into the early hours of the 25th though lol. There are 7 more chapters to load - 34 in total.
