It's my birthday (*´ω｀*)

Please give me your opinion at the end. Sorry a little rant.
          
          I love how people assume stuff about me and then always think I'm wrong. I will always be polite until you insult me or become disrespectful. 
          
          I was giving someone advice and some random person who looks ten told me to stop spreading false info. My friend was from the hometown I was talking about and she told me the information about her ancestry. So you are telling me my friend's bloodline is wrong?
          
          She said she did research and I asked her politely for proof and she kept attacking me and I gave her my proof which was flawless. She still tells me I'm wrong and I say it seems she is one of those people who think that she is always right. 
          
          Later she calls me deaf, ignorant, and more very disrespectful things. I stayed nice until she called me retarded. I told her she proved my point and she said she hopes I know I'm wrong. 
          
          Lastly she says "Your ignorance is enough" and I say but remember I won't get rude unless needed. "Sorry, you have to call me ignorant because you are a dumbass yourself. " Am I in the wrong?
          
          Sorry for this little rant.
