What I love about this interview is how comfortable Michael is here. No sunglasses, just smiles and songs. And you get a glimpse of his sense of humor and whimsy! I don't know who rolled up into Hayvenhurst and interviewed him, but they got our guy right! Perfect source into some of Michael's philosophy and work ethic.

@michaels_wh0r3 I wholeheartedly agree! He's so transparent with us here, and ever so handsome ❤️

This is my favorite interview of him EVER, so laid back, completely himself! And he’s so well grounded.

What did you think of Jermaine’s book?

@janiluvsj5 I'm about halfway through and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much for asking, cuz I honestly forgot to give y'all an update lol. I'm telling you though, it's so well written you could place yourself in 1967, crammed in Joseph's old VW along with the boys as they're on their way to another performance venue in Chicago.

I really want to stress its descriptiveness, it's beautifully written. And not only that, you get so much more of Michael and Jermaine's mindsets and emotions throughout the years. Jermaine's book really goes into detail whereas Michael's book had you wanting more, atleast in my opinion. You really get intel on the dynamic between the brothers, what made them tick, what they liked to do in their spare time. There were plenty of moments that cracked me up! Not just a lil chuckle either, Id be laughing out loud. Teared up a couple of times, truly sat in shock during others. I'm currently on the late 70s chapters, after Jermaine stayed with Motown while the brothers left. It's incredibly sad.

I'd definitely recommend this book. I just saw an article that advertised a NEW edition of this book updated specifically for the Michael Movie. A new excerpt from Jermaine. I was a lil salty because now I wish I had that one, haha! But yeah, Jermaine did a fantastic job on this one :)

Not that I'm only fixated on the amount of readers or votes, but I just wanted some honest feedback on what could be keeping my story obscured. Things I could start incorporating into my storytelling? My display? Etc..

@Speedemon_ Thank you so much friend ❤️ I think you might be right, plus I am writing on a rather niche, or I should say underrated, era of Michael's life. That could be a factor

@rhythm-child I really don't understand why your story isn't getting the attention it deserves! Honestly, I wouldn't know what feedback to give because I love it. I guess it just hasn't reached the right people yet.

This morning, The Lady In My Life came on my speaker while I was getting dressed. And the fact that I could picture Michael hidden behind a curtain because he was initially too shy to sing this love ballad in front of Quincy makes the song all the more endearing. This will be a MUST at my wedding. Hopefully what my future husband and I dance too for our first song <3

Is this a safe space to proclaim myself as a Jermaine Jackson a̶p̶o̶l̶o̶g̶i̶s̶t̶ fan? LOL

Bought Jermaine's autobiography, You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through A Brothers Eyes, and I'm so excited to read it when it arrives Wednesday. I got Moonwalk a couple Christmases ago but I found it to be pretty elusive and conservative in terms of shedding more light on Michael’s extraordinary life and his innermost thoughts. What did really stuck with me though was how at a young age he already felt so old, like an old man trapped in a kid's body. Or how he craved so badly to have a friend around 79-80 that he used to walk up and down the streets of his neighborhood hoping to run into somebody. That tore me up a lil bit. Poor Mike.

To any of yall that have indulged in official publishings of the Jacksons, what other books would yall recommend for a compelling read?

Mystical-Melodies

@rhythm-child OH! If you have Audible and a free credit, you can get the book and listen to it there, I did that until I could get my hands on the actual book.
