Happy International Women’s Day Everyone!

          To celebrate, here are some wonderful stores that show awesome women. (just on the top of my head)

          Carter from A Secret Service;
          Charlotte from The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield;
          Allison from Poles Apart;
          Kayla from Undercover Love; and
          Macy from the Badboy and the Tomboy;
          Quinn from Special Agent; and
          Cassie from Years for Separation

so! five reviews down! I realized that posting my reviews here on conversations was really really disadvantageous due to the maximum word count. so I decided to make a story called book reviews!! It will contain basically all my book reviews. I have more freedom to write as much as I want, and add in some aesthetics ;)

          I'll be releasing that as soon as I can. With me being a senior, school is really hectic but, I'll try to release at least ten chapters, at first. so, watch out for that (maybe at the end of march?) anyways, stay safe always guys!

          ❝Some people aren't meant to be saved.❞

          Aria has grown up all her life with abusive foster parents. Living with the feeling of worthlessness is all she has known for the past fourteen years. As her fosterers drag her into a new community after running away from the law, Aria finds herself about to attend, "Cameron High Public School," for her freshman year. Little does she know, walking through the doors of the school will change her life completely.

          On her first day, Aria witnesses a few of the Woods brothers walking into the school. Glancing them over, her curiosity only intensifies as her eyes analyze each of them. As Aria reaches the end of the line, she finally spots the youngest Woods brother. She doesn't know if she is hallucinating or if her eyes are playing tricks on her, yet this boy looks exactly like her.

          Aria continues to live with her foster parents, yet the physical and verbal abuse continues to get worse. Until one day, Aria's largest unknown life secret is spilled to her during the worst part of her horrifying reality yet.

          mood: heartbroken

          Older Brothers tells the story of Aria, a fourteen-year-old girl who has gone through too much already. Moving, she meets the Woods brothers and suddenly everything is much more than it seems. This book has held my heart captive since the day I read it. The author opens up about child abuse and it is vital to see how relevant it is today. It was able to portray the emotions felt by those who actually experience this in real life. Situations felt so real and true that I felt for Aria so much. I felt the pain she lived in and the hurt going through her. Many times I longed to help her, to care for her, to love her.

          an emotional rollercoaster

          recommendation: recommended to those who feel pain and wants some redemption
          rating: 12 (bonus: emotions conveyed)

          Draco Malfoy is Voldemort's head Death-Eater, and Hermione Granger holds the key to his redemption. Together, they have to find a way to end the war in a world governed by draconian laws.

          reading list: love, repeat, dramione
          mood: all the feels

          Draconian was one of the first books I ever read on Wattpad. I experienced the first version of the book — version before it was taken down and then reposted. This book catapulted my love for Dramione and Harry Potter fanfictions. It portrays the cruelty of war and how one changes because of it. It also tackles torture. The author was able to captivate my attention, with me not being able to put the book down until I finished, and makes me fall in love with the characters every time I read it.

          The changes in each character were portrayed almost perfectly, with their flaws, strengths, and demons they all facing. The book centers mainly on Draco, the group, and Hermione. We saw the group’s dynamic in how they execute their missions for and against the Dark Lord. We saw blurred lines between good and bad because, in a war, it’s to kill or to be killed. Later in the story, we also see changes in the Order, Harry, Ron, Ginny, and other loved characters. Things have changed and I loved how the author portrayed each one so uniquely and on point. All characters were brought to life and have their own unique story. Aside from the characters, the emotion that the book conveys is absolutely awesome. I laughed, cried, nearly threw my phone across the room, and suffered along with the characters. The words spoke to me.

          Overall, this book is one of my top favorites. I could never forget the dynamic of Draco and his group, the love between Pansy and Blaise and Draco and Hermione, and Theo (enough said).

          because dramione

          recommendation: recommended to all dramione shippers and hp fanfiction lovers
          rating: 12 (bonus: exceptional characters)

          He's rude, he's arrogant and downright insolent. She's a damaged good with walls built so high it's a surprise even she can see over them.

          It's almost been a year since Scarlett Valentina has been working as secretary to the suave, sexy billionaire - Jasper Queen - and as her first year draws to a close, sparks begin to fly. Suffering from a childhood of abuse, Scarlett refuses to let anyone get too close until even she herself cannot stop her boss from digging deep into her past.

          But, will she let Jasper break down the walls and unearth every part of herself for him? Will Jasper stay long enough to seek his secretary out? Through all the scars, tears, truths and tantrums, who will burn and who will make it out unscathed?

          mood: appalled and laughter

          Saved By The Boss is a boss-assistant type romance, with the typical tyrannous boss, Jasper Queen, and lovely but scarred Scarlett Valentina. I actually love the plot. It wasn't your usual work romance where the boss gets a new assistant they fight then fall in love then bam – happy ending! No, Saved By The Boss unravels current day issues such as childhood abuse, sexual assault, and other societal issues. The author was able to portray a badass yet underconfident female lead, which was fitting due to her past. However, the pacing of the book was not always clearly stated making me confused at the time-lapse. The pacing of the story was confusing at times and making me late to realize how many months have already passed which came as a disadvantage to me in regards to my views on their relationship. I, personally, am not a fan of pacing this fast. Overall, this was a good book that helps uncover present time issues.

          recommendation: recommended to those who do not want the typical boss-assistant romance

          Older Brothers has good potential. The author was able to come up with a good plotline, characters, and flow of the story. However, I feel the language hindrance is a big problem. I think that if in the future, the author has improved their knowledge of the language used, the story would be really good.

          ❝ A sniper doesn't always need a partner, they just need someone to give the signal. ❞

          Going solo gave you a lot to ponder on, especially given a mission that isolated you from your daily life of sniping up dozens of armed agents per hour.

          A change to braids and glasses wouldn't be too bad for one mission. Just follow the girl, keep an eye on the girl, and continue for two years. Simple.

          Throw in assassins? Simple. Throw in traitors? Simple. Throw in a baby? Simple. Throw in poison? Simple. Throw in intruders? Simple. Throw in love?

          Check twice before messing with the quiet and the nerds. Because the nerds will become future hackers, and the quiet will become undercover agents.

          Agent W is one hell of a book. It gave me a bloody rollercoaster ride throughout the whole thing. I cut the book into two main parts. The first part was pretty straight forward but with several confusing parts. Part two explained the backstory and cleared up major loopholes in the story. I liked how the ending not only centered on the romantic aspect but also the character development of the main leads.

          confusing af but i love it
