MAREN CALDER left hawkins at seven after her terrified mother drove them away. the only fragments of a past she can remember from hawkins comes in distant memories of old visions: red skies, a low hum, and blank memories.
she skateboards, picks locks, carries a beat-up polaroid, and knows more space trivia than anyone asks for. the hum follows her near forests, abandoned buildings, and old power lines, making lights flicker. she keeps those moments to herself.
she quickly befriends 'the party', fitting in naturally. mr. alden, her history teacher, watches her strangely closely, appearing whenever the hum grows louder. as if he was connected to those dreams she had so long ago.
hawkins remembers her. creatures notice her. and it isn’t finished with her yet.
