I owe you all an explanation for why I disappeared and unpublished my story.
The truth is, I reached a point where I felt my writing wasn't good enough. Every day I would open the app and see hundreds of notifications about activity on other writers' stories, while only a handful were related to mine. It hurt more than I expected.
This isn't jealousy. Many of those writers are incredibly talented, and I genuinely enjoy reading their works too. They deserve the recognition they receive. But constantly being reminded of how invisible my own stories felt slowly chipped away at my confidence.
At first, I thought unfollowing everyone would help so I wouldn't keep seeing those notifications. Then I realized that wasn't really the solution. It also felt unfair, to me, because I was letting comparison control my love for writing, and to those of you who genuinely read, voted, commented on, and supported my stories.
So instead of disappearing without a word, I wanted to be honest. I needed some time away to deal with my own doubts and remember why I started writing again in the first place.
To everyone who has stayed, reached out, or quietly supported my work, thank you. Your encouragement means more than you probably realize. I'm still learning, still improving, and I hope you'll continue this journey with me. I am also making changes on this story so please, re-read the updates that will follow.
