Weill I just tried to publish my first short story but they cam back to me with saying well we dont accept short storries under 10K so you have to make it longer. Yeahhh uhm going from 900 to 10.000 is not possible. No they did not have requirements for short storries on their site
I am back from holliday, it was so much fun

seeing the US president talk about airports and ariplanes in 1812 (almost 100 years before the brothers wright flew) really made me think about writing an alternate history book.
And now chapter 12 has been posted aswel! with a cliff hanger to boot

well just to be sure that my story was save I now have a back up in word and that told me that the music of a generation has about 50 pages ( I need to do something about the distance the backup has between several parts so it might be a bit less) a bit less then I had hoped but not bad for my first story that isnt nearly half way and still needs tons of edits

When you submit to the wattys it means that any update after the submission is NULL AND VOID to the wattys. submit when yo uare ready for it.
I made the mistake of submitting before ready due to not knowing this and being afraid that I would forget about the wattys. so be warned
@AustrealisInk whe you submit your story there is a chance that your story immediatly gets judged
@rigantor Do you mean for judging? So like if something in a first chapter was wrong and you went and changed it after submission, a judge would not see the revised version? Or does this apply to reads as well? (Like any user coming and reading the story)
