Hiya everyone.
So, I've been thinking, especially due to a drastically different experience with another social outlet, and I've come to the conclusion that Wattpad is not doing anything for me, especially with my genre, and my style.
I have limited internet, and I need to concentrate my time on websites where my time and effort actually have a result. Here, no matter how often and how much I put my effort, nothing came out of it.
Three days ago, at that new social outlet I tried, I posted The Treasure He Chose. Within half a day, I received three votes and most of all, three comments. In Wattpad, that exact same story received nothing after being up and promoted for nearly 8 months.
For me, the reaction of ordinary readers is what matters the most; I write what I write for them. And of course, receiving their comment is much more fulfilling than merely attempting in vain to promote it in a website where its readers are clearly interested in romance, YA, and I don't know what else since it's not my own genre.
So given my projects and most of all, my intent as a writer and the kind of readers I wish to entertain... I must come to the conclusion that Wattpad will never fulfill my needs.
I will thus remove my profile next Thursday (not the upcoming one, but next week's; so that my friends can see this message), so as to limit the confusion of how many profiles I'm in charge with and must keep up with.
