Hi Laura :-): Thank u so much for adding LOVE, LUST 'N GEOLOGY to ur reading list - I really appreciate it :-)! Wrt the quote in ur bio, I have to disagree with anonymous ;-). I would say that that there is still much left to be explored in our oceans & that while we r not in a position to physically explore space - & may never be, due to the vast distances involved - our current technology is, in fact, allowing us to explore space! If u've already started my book, u've likely figured out that I'm a science enthusiast :-).

@seema_ahmad Wow! I really like that quote. It's interesting and definitely does apply to any scientist.

@rj0722_ Thank u so much for giving my book a try, Laura :-)! I enjoy thinking & am always interested in discussing ideas, any ideas, but particularly those pertaining to science :-)! U're right, in terms of pure exploration, we have mapped out the earth & the living things on it to a great degree. Physical exploration of space poses a huge challenge, the biggest the distances involved, but also the hostile environment we enter when we go into space. Even at the fastest speed any spacecraft has achieved, it'd still take thousands of yrs to reach our nearest star neighbours, the Centauri's. But if u go beyond simply what's here on earth, or what's out there in space, to understanding the details of how our physical world, incl living things, work, I think despite all we humans have discovered, Newton's quote would still apply to any scientist: "I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”

@seema_ahmad Hi :) I'm currently on the second chapter of "Love, Lust 'n Geology. Although I'm not far, the first chapter had already captured my attention and I plan to continue reading it. With the quote on my bio, I do agree with you that there's still much to explore on Earth and that we are already exploring space. But I'd assume it was more interesting exploring Earth before and that it'd be cooler to explore space physically but that probably won't happen during my life(sadly). Thank you for actually taking time to look at profile and giving an opinion :)
