hi everyone, i just wanted to come on here to primarily express where i stand on certain political issues as well as apologize for being so inactive
these last few months have been difficult for many immigrant families, including my own, and im so outraged by everything that’s going on with the mass deportations and the detainment of innocent (and some even documented) immigrants. ice and the trump administration are breaking apart families and i truly, with all my heart, wish them the absolute worst and hope that they receive their karma tenfold. i will never support ice nor trump, and pray that those around me will share the same views that i do and not be blinded by the false promises of a man on the verge of dictatorship.
with that being said, the state of my life right now has left no room for writing, nor have i found much joy in it lately. my family has been torn apart by this horrible situation, and those of us that got lucky still fear that eventually, whether we are able to stay or will be forced to leave will boil down to the color of our skin and the language that we speak. parents are afraid to leave their homes in fear of being separated from their children. they work us to the bone and toss us to the wolves when we’ve been run dry.
our retaliation is not aggression, nor is it violence. our voices deserve to be heard. no one is illegal on stolen land.
i love all of you so so much, and im so grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful community all these years. i hope that i’ll be able to write again, but for now, ill be on an indefinite hiatus until further notice. i urge all of you to please please be safe, especially if you live in the u.s, and please, stay informed and stay true to yourselves and what you stand for.

@rkiives hey annie, there’s no need for you to apologize for any form of inactivity when you’re facing such dangerous and horrific times. i’m not religious in any way, so my prayers probably won’t mean much; but i mean it when i say that i am praying for your safety and peace, along with your family. although it may take a long while, ice, the trump administration, and anyone else who even supports an ounce of the bullshit they’re doing will face whats coming for them. don’t rush back into writing, take your time — we’ll all still be here to support you !!!!
