A native to New Orleans, Louisiana, at an early age, I developed a passion for storytelling. I expressed my love for the arts by drawing comics with friends throughout middle and high school years. I drafted many short stories that laid the foundation for a hopeful future in the movie industry.
Throughout my young adulthood, I spent many years moving to various homes and cities due to financial struggles. Despite working fulltime to help support my family, I kept a love for creating. At the age of seventeen, I was given the opportunity to go to school in Pittsburgh and study special effects. Once I completed my studies, I headed to Florida in 2001 to continue furthering my education.
Once I finished earning a bachelor's degree, I continued to hone my writing skills while working to help support my ailing mother. The idea for Children of Adaban began shortly after the move to Florida. Over the years, I continued to work on the manuscript. Eventually, it took a backseat to life around 2012.
After realizing that I could not escape the stories and ideas that were dominating my day-to-day thoughts, I decided that I would do my best to complete the first book but was unhappy with what I had. I decided to dig deep, and if I could only write one book, it would be a work that mirrored my passions and feelings. I scraped everything and started fresh. Children of Adaban was reborn with hopes that no matter what you enjoy reading, you will find a kinship with the stories I breathe life into.
