ppl always ask me why I have such an interesting/dark opening to Understand, and to that, I have two answers:
          
          -I needed something for ppl to empathize with Symere and his struggles, as well as some sort of introduction towards his views on both himself and the world
          
          -I also use it to express my own personal past, as I have experienced very similar urges to the beginning in my past, and believe it or not, whenever I get those same powerful feelings and desires, I re-read certain parts of Understand to remind myself that things eventually get better, something I tried to symbolize within Understand.
          
          *I’m always here if y’all need advice on similar  desires/urges((:
