Hi, I'm Robert and I live in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.

I am a new as yet unpublished author of full length romance/comedy novels. I started writing short stories with a science fiction/fantasy theme twelve years ago. One night I had a strange dream in which I was being chased down the street by two nasty bullies. I escaped them by jumping onto a bus and while on board I met a beautiful auburn haired girl called Laura. We got chatting and then she invited me back to her mother's house for a coffee. Romance then blossomed from there. This was how an idea for a full length novel came to me; and so was born "Laura's New Boyfriend".I have also written a very personal true life autobiographical love story about dancing called "Terpsichore's Fire".

I am a member of the Letchworth and District Astronomical Society and I help run their observatory, and do public observing sessions, which is in the corner of a field at Standalone Farm on the northern edge of Letchworth. I aslo write about astronomy and what we have been observing and studying in the night sky for their newsletter, which is called "Andromeda". I am also an active campaigner against light pollution of the night sky for the nationwide "Campaign for Dark Skies". www.dark-skies.org.uk I also make regular visits to the Institute of Astronomy in Madingley Road, Cambridge to use the big telescopes there.

I still do some Ceroc style dancing from time to time, and I also like real ale, Chinese food, and science fiction movies like "Independence Day" and "Godzilla".

My favourite poems include "If" by Rudyard Kipling and "Desiderata" by Max Ehrmann.

My writing/pen name on Wattpad is Karellan.

In case you were wondering, Karellan was an alien from another planet. He was the "overseer for Earth" in the Science Fiction novel "Childhood's End" written by Arthur C. Clarke.
