Robert Tweed has been involved in real estate transactions for the whole of his adult life, having bought his first rental at the age of 22 in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. He was able to acquire his second rental in Toronto a few years later. Robert eventually moved to Los Angeles, California in 1987, using his passive income streams. Robert began locating and flipping foreclosures shortly after arriving in Southern California, and by the early 1990s, he had completed well over 30 real estate flips.

The notion of a 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchange was presented to Robert in 2004. Robert was working with Del Exeter, a local CPA in Monrovia, CA, at the time. Del introduced Robert to his son Bill Exeter, who had been the Exchange Division Head at Chicago Title Company. Bill's skills helped him swiftly catch up, and he successfully directed Robert's 1031 Exchange transactions to success.

Robert has aided his clients in well over 100 property transactions since then. Robert has been a part of more than $500 million in successful 1031 exchanges. Robert's main focus in his firm is guiding clients through the 1031 exchange process.

He and his team are industry leaders in locating substitute property for the high-demand sales numbers. Robert has transacted in practically every form of investment property imaginable, including multifamily, retail, NNN leases, commercial buildings, oil and gas leases, raw land, and so on.
