I've got good news and bad news,

          GOOD NEWS:
Crews got the hydroelectric turbines running on the Cheboygan dam last night. As of right now, the water levels have dropped to about 7 inches from the top of the dam and will hopefully continue to drop!

          Annnndd now the bad news...
Croton Dam continues to be under severe pressure as the water continues to get closer to cresting the dam. Reports say that the dam sirens have been on and the Muskegon river floodplain still remains under evacuation.

It's a good day for Cheboygan, but for the Croton Dam... time will tell.

rockydangerbuff5

@Myship for now, yup. as of right now, the water level for Cheboygan dam has been dropping thankfully

@rockydangerbuff5 isn't Cheboygan under a "go" evacuation or something?

Guys, please pray for my fellow Michiganders. Right now, parts of Newaygo county are being evacuated as the water levels of the Croton Dam reach critical. The Cheboygan Dam is less than five inches from spillover, Hesperia dam is also in danger of spillover. All 83 counties in Michigan are under Flood Watchs and Warnings, THE ENTIRE STATE IS UNDER A FLOOD WATCH GUYS. As of right now, we have at least THREE dams that are in danger of spillover and breaching which will cause numerous flash floods across northern Michigan.
@Myship I hope you are safe, stay dry!
Thankfully, I do live in the lower part of the state, but please pray and support the people up north. (it's fine if you're not religious)

Also: the NSW confirmed that we had EIGHT tornados on Tuesday night

Yall' the Great Lakes State is gonna be one big lake by the time this is over.

          Stay safe guys

Myship

@rockydangerbuff5 late but thank you fellow Michigander :)

@Tsunami118 Thank you
I can't remember the last time the entire state was under flood warnings. Just praying that the rivers near me (Maple River, Grand River, Looking Glass, etc.) stay low.

**UPDATE**
The NSW has confirmed that we had three tornadoes in West Michigan last night. The tornado that touched down in Montcalm County (Carson City) and lifted in Gratiot County (Perrinton) has been confirmed to had been an EF-1 tornado.

ALSO: Some roads and a bridge in Traverse City are covered in water and washed out. The Cheboygan Dam is close to being overflowed with only 6 inches left between the water and the top of the dam. As far as I know, Cheboygan has and is evacuating.

oh my gosh guys, my family almost had a tornado at our house last night. I live north of Pewamo and a tornado touched down just outside of Carson City (north of me) last night. According to the news, it touched down on a neighboring farm and destroyed some barns, letting all their cows out. As far as I know, the tornado kept going and went south of Fowler (6 miles east of me) and headed towards the Dewitt area. I was up until 12:30am or so and I spent at least an hour in the basement with my mom, and my brothers while I was on the phone with my older brother and his fiance (They live in St. Johns) while they sat in their closet with Larry the water heater.

Anyways, I'm alive and insanely tired. I still have to do school... and work. If I make it over to Carson City to see the damage, I'll keep you posted.

Tsunami118

@rockydangerbuff5 ok thank goodness, still definitely a bad situation, but at least no reported deaths yet...

@Tsunami118 Thank you, I wish you the best also

So far, I haven't heard of any reports deaths, both tornados (there was one wayyyy south of me towards Kalamazoo) were EF-0s.
