          Thanks for adding THE VISITOR to your reading list.
          
          It is old-school hard SF with real science and realistic situations including accurate descriptions of travel to and from the ISS. The plot is plausible too. I'm told it is a unique twist on first contact.
          
          The story follows a dynamic woman astronaut who finds something unexpected in low-Earth orbit. It is goes on to change her life and the world. My first attempt at a female protagonist.
