I wrote this story [The Last Leaf] during a time when my mind was a little too loud, and I needed somewhere to put it all.
          
          So I wrote.
          
          I poured a lot of myself into these pages, probably more than I intended to. It’s not really the kind of story I usually write, but I think that’s part of why it became so special to me. Sometimes you end up creating something completely different when you’re feeling completely different.
          
          There are pieces of me scattered throughout this story, some intentional, some I probably didn't even notice while writing them.
          
          Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I hope the story keeps you company for a little while, the same way writing it kept me company when I needed it.
