“Now’s not the time for your jokes! You’re bloody you idiot-” “Who’s fault is that?” “Yours! Why did you get in the way!” Emil growled through gritted teeth as Kalliri simply smiled up at him despite the other desperately looking around for something, anything, to try and stop the blood seeping out of the wound the dark shard lodged in Kall’s abdomen but he found nothing to be of any real aid. “There has to be something that I can do-” He began, but Kalliri cut him off by holding up his hand to silence him and was overtaken by another fit of coughs. “Death is something that not even you can fix…No matter how powerful you are. Did you get everything that you wanted though?” Kall ridiculed, his breathing coming in short pants now, but even then he was still going to speak his mind. “NO! I never wanted this, Kall!” Emil shouted, trying to stop the bleeding, but the more he tried to ease the blade of the weapon out and seal the wound, the more pained Kalliri’s cries were. “Stop! Stop it, it burns!” The boy cried in anguish, using the last of his strength to try and forcibly shove Emil’s hands away, but not before he grabbed a firm hold of the end of the spear and yanked it out. The sudden removal drew a shout from Kalliri who slung a string of curses at Emil, but the god couldn’t be bothered with such trivial matters when there was a clearly bigger one glaring at them. “We need to get help, Kall, or you’ll…you’ll” Emil began, but even the god was too afraid to utter the word die and finish his statement, though Kalliri did it for him. “I’d have died either way. The damage is already done.” He coughed, but he did seem to relax a little with the removal of the spear and the spreading corruption halting in it’s tracks. Listening to the irregular breathing of the boy in his arms, Emil reluctantly sat, staring at the nasty wound as helplessly as he felt.
