Happy holidays, everyone. (Trigger warning here. Skip to the very last paragraph to avoid triggers). I know it's been a while, and I have the unfortunate update that the story is on a permanent hiatus. 2025 was an insane year, and at the moment, 2026 is looking only mildly less crazy. I do have plans to come back to it, but in summary, I've been helping multiple people this year with:
The death of a friend's mom;
A friend dealing with serious DV and getting custody of their kid;
A friend going through one of the roughest patches in their relationship ever;
A friend becoming a caretaker for their dad;
Also dealing, myself, with:
Removing a previous friend from my life;
Becoming something of a caretaker for my mum;
Finally paying off my student loans;
And, hopefully, an upcoming medical procedure that will allow me to get off of birth control.
With all of that being said, I love how much most people seem to love my stories and reading your comments. I deeply apologize that I have to step away indefinitely. I also apologize for listing everything here. I know that's no one's business. I haven't had a platform, on or off line, to talk about or process anything that's happened this year.
