            who are you to question my parenting .  you couldn’t even take care of your own subjects , let alone your own flesh & blood .     *       she snapped at him.     *    it may hurt that I didn’t tell them til a certain age .  but it couldn’t possibly hurt as much , as the actual damage you did to me , cal , & everyone else .    don’t get me wrong .  they know about you .  but what they don’t know is that you are more than just a villain in history .   & you keep playing that part .      *          she was now glaring at him.   when it came to her children , mare didn’t hesitate.   her kids seemed to change her .   it was no longer just her & cal .  she had two actual human beings that looked up to her &s their father .  who depended on her .       *         sometimes they do it out of love , maven !   no matter how much pain people cause , some just still have hope .      *      she growled ,  but as soon as she heard the name / Thomas / the female refrained from grabbing him from the cell & smacking some sense into him.         *       you are in pain as well .   you still love / thomas /  .  no matter how much pain it has caused you .    that’s close to what cal is going through .   he loves / you / . no matter how much pain it has caused him.      *       the brunette then narrowed her eyes once more to his smart comment     *         well at least he isn’t afraid to show is emotions anymore .     unlike you.       you know if you weren’t such an ass , you might have been moved to a cell with a window .    but no .

            oh sure ,   tell that to the doctor who took care of you .     *    she said narrowing her eyes at her son.       *    well —   *   the lightning girl paused for a moment .   technically they weren’t royal anymore .  but her kids had royal blood in them.   they were the first of their kid .  silver newbloods .  & even if cal was not officially king , they still resided in the castle .  still served , still treated like royalty .  the only difference was how they took care of the kingdom.     meaning shade & corraine were the talk of the town when it came to teens.  it was said , if you married into the calore family , you were most likely set for life .      so when it came to her kids marrying someone , mare told cal that she wanted them to pick whoever they wanted .  to marry for love . something their father wasn’t aloud to do when he was their age .  cal did agree , but also told mare that they would also have to do a “ background ” check on whomever that person was .  just in case . & if something came up , there would be a serious talk.        *         well, you are aloud to marry whoever you love .   but your father & I do have rules .     you know that many people would use you for your title & money .  we want to make sure they will love you for you .   *    she said slowly , now cupping his face with one hand.    *     because your father doesn’t want to be the first one to hit or punch your sister .   so evangeline said she would train corraine .  then once the two of you learn everything.  you guys will switch .   you will go to evangeline , & corraine will go to your father .   I promise you will get to fight with evangeline , you just need to patient.

                 i was exhausted, that’s all.  * he mused before he shook his head. *  am i going to have to choose a betrothed? or have any choice in the matter?  * he asked, looking at her expectantly. gaze glued to his mother before looking away for a moment as he thought to himself. *  why does corraine get to train with evangeline first? huh?

            yes & then passed out for a day .    *     she added her hands on her hips     *          yes , but when it’s your father who needs to get up the next morning .  you don’t try to give him every bruise you possibly can.       *         she sighed.    *        because corraine is currently learning her duties to be / proper / .   not my choice , it’s your fathers .   she will learn how to fight though .   though she might just learn how to fight by evangaline  & me .         *      mare then let out a soft chuckle , seeing that her son is just as afraid of Evangeline as everyone else , when it comes to fighting.        *     she told me she would be happy to teach you once you learn everything from your father & actual instructor .     but for now , she is willing to watch & help you with your technique .
