Listen to me: this will make me sound arrogant but I’m saying this from a place of experience. I am traditionally published and I SAW your potential. Your story was one of my favorites, and the shortlist means nothing. Judging is subjective. But I never would have read start to finish if I hated your story. And I’ve seen people lose ONC just to win a watty the same year. You keep doing you and keep on writing because your story was fucking amazing. I’m so glad I came across you, because your name made me smile and give you that chance. I loved it from start to finish, and I truly hope you go places with your writing. ❤️
