Didn’t realize I would need to set boundaries again because I fear this is common sense. Unfortunately, the block button and I have become close friends again because some people have lowk hounded me about Soul Ripper. So, I’m going to be mean to you guys for a minute—this is me holding your hands first. 
          
          I have said before that I MIGHT finish Soul Ripper. Sometimes, I play with the idea, but it’s just not my priority right now because, and here’s everyone’s quarterly reminder, I’m 23, in grad school, have a full-time job, and trying to maintain irl relationships (ie my marriage) all while working on my debut novel and Thirty-Six. Also, it’s kinda bad??? I’m editing it, and it’s honestly trash. I still don’t know why people like it. 
          
          I always felt really grateful that my following hasn’t demanded updates before but it’s been happening recently. Like many writers, this actually does the reverse effect than what I imagine is the desired result. It makes me want to delete everything and leave this fucking app. Crazy, I know! So, do not demand updates from me—I will block you. 
          
          TL;DR: I’m actually not very nice; shut the fuck up about Soul Ripper; I’m 23; I’M WRITING AN ACTUAL BOOK!!! AHHHH!!

boundaries ! it’s totally okay to set those when it comes to writing. people need to learn patience instead of hounding writers on here like they don’t have lives of their own fr.
