I'm Ryan Grow, a writer based in San Diego, California. I've always been a reader, and writing has become something I return to not just creatively, but mentally - a way of working through things and making sense of the world around me.
My debut novel, The Water Remembers, took nearly a year to write and changed completely along the way. What started as one story slowly became something quieter and more personal, shaped by revision, patience, and letting the work become what it needed to be. I'm drawn to stories that live in atmosphere and emotion, where place matters and memory lingers.
When I'm not writing, I love going to the movies and staying in on rainy days - the kind of weather that makes it easier to slow down and sit with a story.
