@charwene of course! I also made it confusing and never clarified it well ㅠㅠ So, 2017 (y/n) time traveled back to the past due to a photo taken on September 1, 2005 (9/1/05). It was like having two ‘souls’ in one body: her 16-year-old self and her 28-year-old self. (y/n) lived her life without her future memories and her 2017 self was hidden in the back of her subconscious. In February 2006, she discovered her notebook which was supposed to be blank, but there were notes there. In the story, the current time loop wasn’t the first time it happened (kinda like canon Tokyo Revengers where there was a FIRST timeline). Her past selves all died because of Hanma and were trying to break the cursed time loop, and that’s when (y/n) regains her memories. She’s still 16, but she has her memories of ALL versions of being 28. She then panics and tells Hanma about their ‘future’, but she doesn’t want to relive the time loop anymore and wants to stay in the past. Hanma had no involvement to her past deaths at all. His future self (2017) remembered (y/n)’s words and how she time traveled because of a picture (their anniversary picture 9/1/05). Every time she almost died, it was implied (terribly) that he gave her the picture so they can restart their cursed time loop. In the story, the current timeline shows that he didn’t kill her this time— he tried divorcing her. Something about the timeline was different so Hanma asked (y/n) to trust him. Their first and last photo (both on their anniversary 9/1) was based on trust: the cause of (y/n)’s time travel. Idk if that explains it ㅠㅠ You can ask more questions if you’d like! And thank you for asking! <3
