So since I'm apparently now dedicated to writing this story, I thought it would be a good idea to post the obligatory self description. I'm an engineer by trade but I love reading, writing, playing videogames, cooking, and, probably more than any of those things, cars. I've been in and out of the FanFic community for a little over a decade now, even wrote a few of my own stories but never took the time to post much. While I may post another story at some point in the future, my focus is going to be pretty singularly on my primary one.
As far as a writer and reader, I am very character centric and, if you read my writing, you'll see that. While the story being told is extremely important, I tend to focus that story around the characters within; this doesn't mean the main character is going to be the sole focus of the story (in fact a lot of what will happen in A Hero's Story is going to result from other characters' actions) because, while it may be interesting to have a central Gary/Mary Sue, it isn't how the world works. Characters have flaws, quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. A lot of what I do in writing is poke at the weaknesses and see what happens.
Anyways, I think I got a little rambly there but I think the storytelling will make more sense if you know how I approach it.

The journey of a hero doesn't always start where they expect. It doesn't always happen to those who expect it...
