@s00gifted Text-to-speech (TTS) is a type of assistive technology that reads digital text aloud. For those with visual impairment or difficulty reading, text-to-speech can be a useful tool for accessing the story. It can also make it easier to enjoy stories at your convenience, especially if you can’t give your full attention to a screen.

Text-to-speech is a beta feature on Wattpad and it was added to thousands of stories written in English. This allowed us to explore this feature and understand its potential to improve the reading experience on Wattpad.

We'll be rolling this feature out to additional English stories and exploring its potential to improve the reading experience for users. Please note that it’s also not possible for Wattpadders to add the #texttospeech tag to their stories as this tag is reserved for stories that had the feature enabled by us.

Still hangovered from the graduation afterparty. Hope everyone is good and I'm curious... anyone joining wattys?

POV: You prep your voice to scream when your ex is her certificate cuz her turn is a little late and she doesn't have really close friends to cheer her... so now you're graduating as good friends. We both got honours (she got Cum Laude and I got Magna) and she was joking that we were getting better grades cuz of my 2am alarms. Will I miss waking up so early?... Nope. Will I miss her? Probably. Funnily I saw her mum and my mum was with me and they started hugging. Turns out they know each other, but they don't know we know each other lol.

Lessons from university: firstly, connect with the lecturers. Make them know you. Start early getting the good grades early as things get worse than better. If you are introverted like me just get someone extroverted to help you out as there are some assignments and stuff which would be much easier if you had smart pals (or pals of your pals). I hate using AI for essays but some ppl do it. At least be put some human effort in. My highest graded essay this semester started with me writing on a sheet of paper with pencils and colour pencils... not because I cannot ask chat. Because I missed enjoying writing. In my first year I would write papers I actually enjoyed, some controversial, after jotting different ideas in my notes like some disorderly art piece. I felt so smart then.
