Quick rant: (content warning: seizers)
There was this time I was watching a night play with a group from school and in the middle of the play the girl next to me started seizing and she's not seizer prone. I immediately called 911 while my teacher yelled to stop the show and went over to help. I was freaking out, understandably, right? After I gave the address and explained the situation to the operator as calmly as possible the operator asked, and I quote, "Why are you freaking out?"
First of all, I was on the verge of panic attack, trying to keep my breathing at bay and my hands would not stop shaking, I had never witnessed a seizer before, let alone one of my friends having a seizer.
Second of all, you are a 911 operator who deals with calls of people in distress and in a bad situations, why the hell would you ever ask why someone that after they just explained why they're calling for an EMERGENCY.
That guy just really pissed me off. luckily, my friend is okay, and it wasn't too serious. Thank God. I really hope that guy learns how to talk to people and do his job better.
