I fucking sobbed today when I found out.

Thank you Ozzy, thank you for all that you've done in pioneering heavy metal and truly hard rock. You're an inspiration, a legend, unconditionally loved by many, and you'll never be forgotten.

We all love you more than I could ever put into words, Prince Of Darkness. Rest easy, may Heaven welcome you with open arms and don't forget to tackle Randy Rhoads in the fattest bear hug for all of us and tell him that we miss and love him too. ❤️

officially another year older :) been a good day so far and I’m at a loss for words for how thankful I am for my family and my merciful God.

also, another quick update on River Rat and Elowyn: River’s been in the shop all week getting repaired because she was dangerously low on all her fluids and was leaking transmission fluid into her transfer case. she (hopefully) comes home tomorrow. Ellie went in a few days ago to get inspected and fix her PO171 code, turns out her ball joints were spitting grease and need to be replaced. her wheel bearings were also worn out, taillight bulbs were out which we didn’t know about and those got replaced and her wiring was messed up so she had that replaced and a thorough inspection, etc. the mechanic said other than that she was a clean truck! minimal rust, perfect mechanical condition, everything. all for $3,500 so she was an absolute blessing to have.

real late update to the new truck situation:

we didn’t get the Malibu, we bought a 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage instead! :)

I named her Elowyn. She’s red, she’s adorable, and to most people she’s downright ugly because she’s a 10th gen but this truck is my baby. I’ll protect that little thing with my LIFE. she does have a PO171 code which is “fuel too lean”, bank 1, she goes in soon to get that fixed along with some new rims and tires. hers has a hairline crack that I don’t trust whatsoever. she fits in perfectly with my odd little truck family, and Bubba, surprisingly, absolutely loves her.

a nice update on River Rat, too:

so uh, she has no fluids. at all. we’re planning on going soon (sometime this week) to get them all, re-watch some Chris Fix videos on YouTube on how to change all her nonexistent fluids, and get her fixed up and running like a top again. I’m oddly proud of her because we didn’t know she was running on E on every fluid, and we drove her 18 minutes to town and back, TWICE. she also made it about 3 towns away and back, a 30 minute drive there and back.

she didn’t have power steering fluid, engine oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, coolant, etc.

you can’t say OBS Chevys aren’t bulletproof.

that truck has seen some things.

tomorrow we go to Corning, Arkansas to pick up my mom her first new car in a while and after that, Bubba is officially retired from daily driving duties and is instead promoted to being solely my truck after nine years!

mom’s getting a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, her name is Grenda and she’s a little crusty, yes, and she looks like she sold crack in her younger days, but she’s perfect for what she needs and she absolutely adores the little thing :) I’m happy for her and also happy for Grenda, she’s coming into the perfect family. she’s gonna be spoiled rotten and given a whole bunch of silly little mods.

oh, also, Bubba went in and got all his belts replaced because that is indeed what was making his squealing noises. no more squealing noises but in exchange he now has a check engine light on, which I’ll check out in the morning. I found out he has a minor oil leak on the rear seal :,) yay me, another couple hundred down the drain later

he’s going back in soon to get his leak fixed and then, his first batch of modifications.

          anyways, goodnight :)
