@LETTEROFLIES- 〕 the creature blinked in surprise , still half - hidden behind the wall . honestly , they seemed more scared of francis than he might’ve been of them — seeing as they were also hunkered down quite a bit , perhaps trying to seem smaller . finally , they found the courage to speak . “…I…can’t remember the last time anyone asked me that…” they murmured quietly , voice barely above a whisper . “…but…um , I - I don’t — I don’t think so…”
