I don’t come on here often anymore, nor have I been keen on posting status updates with notifications, but over the past week and a half or so I’ve noticed that the views on “Team Craig Reacts to Ships” has been lingering around the 99,000s. When I woke up this morning I found that the series had finally reached 100K reads, which is absolutely insane to me. I still remember how excited I was when we hit 100 views, then 1000, then 10,000.
I first began writing this series during a dark time in my life and although the story has come to a close and I’m a lot older now than I was, I still truly believe that writing it was a way to help me heal. A lot of you have left comments over the years or messaged me personally about how reading the series has made you laugh or smile, and honestly that’s more than I could have hoped for as the creator.
I look back at some of my old work and cringe, which is a natural reaction for nearly all writers I’d imagine. But despite the ways in which I feel I’ve grown as a writer and a person, if this series has brightened even one person’s day, I don’t regret a single moment of it. So whether your view was the first or the hundred-thousandth, this thanks goes out to you. You have all taken this series and made it something bigger than I at thirteen, writing fan fiction on my bedroom floor, could have ever imagined. ♡
