Good day! I'm here to announce that HATHOS will be undergoing a rewrite. I made this decision because of one major reason: I have no idea where I'm supposed to take the plot. In my eagerness to write this story (and a desire to finally publish a multi-chapter work for once) I did not plan out the entire story, and though I could just wing it, I know deep down I would never ever be able to view my work with full satisfaction if I do.
As I mentioned earlier, HATHOS is undergoing a rewrite. The original story will be left up for archival purposes, but will no longer be receiving any updates. Now, as for what direction I'll be taking the story in, I have three ideas:
a.) mc still dies, but the boys focus on finding a way to revive him instead of trying (and failing) to move on (the chapter 3 revival really bugged me and I can't stop agonizing over how messy it is)
b.) mc doesn't die, but one of the boys do (between bishop or hector), and mc becomes obsessed with finding a way to revive him (gives mc an actual definitive goal, and would allow me to explore his character more)
c.) same characters, different setting, different plot. i'm currently between it being a modern college setting, or a 70s/80s small town setting. as for the plot, it'll retain the same vibe as the OG, with the key difference it being.. well, different.
