nsjabdksbkdndsn reading fics from around or before 2010 ish is so weird because the language used like,, is sometimes really outdated despite being recent if that makes sense. also?? people tended to use ret***ed a lot more before awareness about how harmful the word is started spreading so finding it in a fic from like more than ten years ago makes me really conflicted. it’s just,, like ,, you shouldn’t use that word ,, but the author is probably not aware of that?? it’s just really conflicting
