@anOverthinkingDevil You write really well. There are very few stories that touch on the life of PhD students — the work, deadlines, and thesis pressure — so I could relate to it (though my life is nowhere near as dramatic as Arohi’s, haha!).
I did find the shift between the past and present a little confusing at first, maybe that’s just me. Arohi’s father’s emotions also felt a bit too closed off — as a parent, he could’ve been there for her success. Personally, I feel parents come first, then love — but that’s just my view.
Overall, it’s an engaging and thoughtful story.
