Dennis~~Thanx for the votes on "Vampiress." I actually wrote this tale while vacationing on Mykonos last summer. After doing some research beforehand it sort of evolved into a historical slant. Of course by default it picked up a side order of the rich and famous who visit Mykonos each summer. As it turns out, there actually was a little problem with the "undead" there in the 16th-19th centuries. A fascinating place. Greece is a historical fiction writer's dream.

By the way, hope you checked out the speculation going on in Penthesilea's Wish as to what 16th century west coast explorer might have left the mysterious tomb on the cliffside at Big Sur. . .was it Vizcaino, Cabrillo, or the mysterious Juan de Fuca? This is an era I know you are fascinated with. Me too.

Dennis~~Yeah the 16th century Age of Exploration is a fascination to me too. If you see the latest chapter of "Penthesilea's Wish" you will see just how far I have gotten into it with regards to California' history.
