@sapphicregal I need to address something serious: my work has been plagiarised.
A story I wrote, Troubled Teachers, has been posted here by @sapphicregal under their own name, without my knowledge or permission, and without any credit to me as the original author.
This isn't a case of inspiration or coincidence: this is my work, word for word. The original has also now been edited and published and available for purchase on Kindle under the title 'The Geography of Us' by Libby Ashford, which means distributing it here for free also constitutes copyright infringement.
I'm asking for three things:
1. The story to be taken down immediately: it is an unauthorised copy of a commercially published work
2. Proper credit if any discussion of this story continues in this community
3. An acknowledgement and apology from the person who posted it
I have documentation proving authorship and will be reporting this to the platform and, if necessary, pursuing a formal DMCA takedown.
To anyone who has read or shared the post in good faith, thank you for your understanding. This is about protecting the integrity of original work, something every writer in this community deserves.
