Thinking about writing a Gojo x OC fanfiction after the Peaky Blinders story I am writing. Any interest?

@saraheliza123 hehe hope you're having a nice time (even though you're grading assignments probably) and wishing you a nice Christmas too. Sadly for me, I have my finals in the beginning of January so I'm rushing to finish all my lectures (shivers while glancing at the mountain of work), but alas I will not dampen the mood with all the nasty details hahaha. Once again wishing you a merry Christmas! <3

@enjoy_the_pic Well, today is the Monday before Christmas. I am spending time finishing with grading for the semester and playing Halo with my husband. I hope that you are resting from your studies and are enjoying the break.

I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore your book. It's so beautifully written, and I'm so glad I found it among the other Thomas Shelby books out there. It's a refreshing read and so different from the ones I have read prior. And I'm not much of a flashback fan, but the way you write it makes it far more digestible than others I've read.

@kingofspadesxo I used to not be a flashback person either, as I tended to be more fascinated by the world the character found themselves in. However, I wanted to explore the concept that our past impacts our present in such a profound way, and the only way to do that were flashbacks. I also think that it makes Heather seem more realistic, at least to me. She is much more than 'the girl who went back in time'. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. They mean more than you know :)

@enjoy_the_pic Any rant about education or the Lord is a worthwhile rant. I hope that your studying was edifying, and I will pray for peace while you prepare for tests and projects. I remember well the seemingly endless days in the College library...

I was just reading your story when I saw the notification that you followed me, so I just want to say hi. Hiii!! I'm loving your story so far. I'm pretty excited about where this story goes.

saraheliza123

@Bubblyj7 Thank you for your kind words! I did really want to go into more detail with her loss. Sometimes authors give titles to their characters, but then they don't play around with what that role means (widow, having a sibling, loss of a parent, etc.).

And I can understand wanting to skip the flashbacks, so I am gad that you read them! They are quite crucial to understanding Heather and her actions throughout her time in Small Heath and with the Shelby's.

Their 'love story' is meant to be a slow-burn, so it great to hear, from your perspective, that it is going smoothly. And have fun with the background check in the future :)

            Yours,
            Sarah

@saraheliza Oh! What I love the most about it is that you put a backstory to her title as a widow. It isn't just an empty title to add something to her, leaving us to only imagine what it must have been like. You actually gave us an insight into the life that she left behind. We get to see the bonds that she lost, and it personally makes me appreciate the bond that she's now creating with the Shelby's even more.

I also like that you didn't make the backstory portions into a whole ass chapter, because for the life of me I CANNOT get myself to read those, and I end up skipping it instead. I know it's still pretty long, but the way you did it kind of tricks my brain into thinking, "Yeah, it's not that long; I can read it."

Then there's also her and Tommy. I love how smooth the transition is of them getting closer together. I really find it the cutest whenever Tommy makes her tea. Idk, I just find it cute! I'm a bit anxious about the background check that Tommy is having on her, though. Wondering what's gonna come out of that. Oh geez that is long, I'll just end it here

@Bubblyj7 Hello! I am glad that you are enjoying it so far! Out of curiosity, what about the story have you been enjoying. As the author, I obviously enjoy writing the story for my own reasons, but I am always wondering what the readers enjoy about it. You don't have to answer, but I was simply curious.

I saw you made it through the end of "The Rose of Birmingham"! Hope you enjoyed it! I'd love some feedback! ❤️

@saraheliza123 It was a happy ending: they both lived. Given the life Tommy chose to engage in, it was the best ending they could hope for. To my knowledge (I haven't seen the show) none of the episodes/seasons of "Peaky Blinders" had a nice ending, so I was staying true to the genre. I'd love it if you'd do the poll in the Final Note — that information is so helpful to me. Anyway, thank you very much for reading! I really appreciate it! ❤️

@MarCafeWrites Sure! I greatly enjoyed how Rose was utilized by being a spy. The ending broke my heart, but that is because I am a sucker for happy endings. I know we do not always gets those in life, but still! The enemies were realistic too, and so were the situations and how people reacted to them. Well done!
