Dear Readers,
Thank you for the great response and love given to THE OTHER PRINCESS. When I started writing this back in mid August, I did not expect it to gain this much response - I mean look at the number of reads and it just keeps on increasing!
No, the story is not coming to an unexpected halt or anything. This is just me taking a few minutes, or maybe just one chapter, to express my gratitude to all the readers.
This story which started off with Samyukta, being the center of attention, with her marriage to the Crown Prince of Panchala - the ABSOLUTE powerhouse of Aryabhoomi, the plot has seen a change with the story being a retelling of the epic from the Panchala POV.
The Panchalans - especially Dhrishtadyumna and Drupada, who were heralded as exceptionally powerful warriors, have been portrayed as weak side-kicks in series and movies released. There is barely a proper story that focuses on their perspective, on their legacy and their bravery. This was a window of opportunity for me to write something new.
When I was writing this story, a few readers asked me why I was pairing Samyukta with 'the most boring character in the epic' i.e. Dhrishtadyumna. They insisted I pair her up with someone who has 'more fandom'. Dhrishtadyumna is boring because you haven't heard or known much about them. They are UNDERRATED, and I love to weave a story using underrated characters who were shown merely as a sidekick. I am glad I paired Samyukta with 'the most boring character in the epic' because it allowed me to bring you something new and refreshing.
Thank you to those who continue to read this story, and give their silent support through votes. But please comment what you feel and think.
More chapters are currently in the making, so please keep in touch. Haven't added my book to your reading list, yet? Give it some space in your reading lists, so you won't miss anything.
Thank you!
