hi everyone. this message is LONG overdue, but better late than never.
i know i haven’t updated allure in almost three months, and i am so, so sorry. the truth is, i had started writing the next chapter in early january and was having a bit of a hard time, so i decided i was going to take a short break, which i hadn’t intended to last more than a week or two. this break was however really inconveniently timed as it was around when i moved onto campus for college. i’m an international student so this was a big move for me (i literally moved to another country) and i’ve just been so busy with balancing school work and campus life that i just haven’t been able to write. my bedroom back home was my optimal writing environment and i just haven’t been able to get back into the groove here in my dorm room so far away. i was originally supposed to be returning home next week, but my stay on campus has been extended until the end of may.
i firstly want to assure everyone that as of right now, i HAVE NOT abandoned allure. i fully intend to continue and finish it and i really hope i’ll be able to get back into writing mode. however, just to provide clear communication and not keep anyone in the dark, i am officially putting allure ON HOLD until i return home at the end of may. it’s just too much to juggle with everything else on campus rn and i’ve also been dealing with some personal and mental health issues so i’m sorry to say i just really can’t consider it a priority at the moment. thank you all so much for your continued patience, i love you all so much and i’m excited to update in the future — i promise i’ll do my best to update as much as i possibly can when i go home during the summer. thank you all for your understanding and kind messages asking if i’ve been okay during my absence.

considering i binged this book in 3 days i'm kinda sad to see that it'll take a while to update, but it's totally understandable as to why you're holding off. seeing how fast march passed by (it feels like yesterday was feb 28), i have no doubt that april and may will continue to fly by as well (time flies when you're having fun, but it also flies when you're so bored that you make yourself do things to take your mind off of everything else). i can't wait to until the end of may but just know that i - and all your other followers, i'm sure - totally understand why you're doing what you're doing! take all the time you need, love, and i can't wait to see you in a couple months <3

hey! thanks for checking in, i hope you’re well! so last semester i was doing college online from home, but i actually just moved on campus about a week and a half ago, so my schedule has changed a lotttt hahaaha and i’m still trying to get into a rhythm and adjust to my new schedule. i haven’t forgotten about the story, i’m just really busy and trying to integrate into campus life. i’m also in a bit of a rut writing wise, but don’t worry — allure is constantly on my mind and i’m always trying to work myself back up into getting into a regular writing schedule again. i’m just having a bit of a hard time with all these changes in my life rn and balancing everything. thank you so much for following up though and i hope i can get something out for you guys soon! stay safe, lots of love

i really have to apologize — i’ve been trying to write chapter 40 but i’m just having a hard time. ik exactly what i want to write i have the whole thing planned out but everytime i try to start, i just can’t. i’m going through a bit of a rough patch so i hope you all won’t be too upset with me for asking for a bit of patience and understanding; i’ll try and get the chapter done as soon as possible. thank you all and i love you so much <3 i really really hope to see you all with an update soon!
