            “ i still do not understand  ,  for i am innocent .  or perhaps..  i am and this is my punishment .  ” ishmael frowned , blue eyes shifted from the sky to look downwards as if ashamed to grant any eye contact .  “ i was once beloved as the almighty’s protectors .  many were jealous of me though i do not see why .  for in heaven i was merely an angel of principality .  ”  it was the faintest laugh , cruel and broken .  there was a bitterness now lingering from within , but deep down the faith remained..  that they would once return back home .  finally , after a moment , the fellow angel turned its head .  sorrowful blue eyes as deep as the raging sea locked onto the other .  “ you are..  you are HIM .  lucifer  ,  the first to fall .  i knew i recognized you .  they are times they speak of you in heaven  ,  i now wonder if they’ll speak of me the same .  ” 

“indeed  they  have,   your  prayers;   screamed  so  loud  the  heavens  heard..   but  with  ears   covered  and  heads  turned.”    lucifer  replied,   his  voice  soft —- inviting.   calm  eyes  would  linger  on  the  other  as  he  explained,   face  painted  with  a  pleasant  expression..  only  shifting  when  required  by  the  stories  he  crafted.   “but,    the  faintest  echo  drifted  to  earth —- then  beneath  it.    words  so  tender,   so  frail  and  delicate..   touching  ears  that  have  been  equally  as  blistered  by  the  cruelties  of  the  lord  and  his  army  of  angels.” sharp  nails  brushed  away  falling  strands  of  a  caramelized  blonde.  “for  i  was  the  first  to  be  cast  from  the  clouds;   the  first  to  fall.   i  refuse  to  betray  as  i  have  been  betrayed —- and  to  leave  you  caged  within  these  holy  walls.”
