MIDLIFE CRISIS PLS HELP

          like i need heeeelp
          we're doing a group project in my class
          which requires 3-4 people
          i have 2 cloose friends in this class and we usually work as a trio
          but one of them wanted to hangout with their more popular friends in the class and ditched me and my other friend so now we're in a group of only 2, there are only 11 girls ( im not sure i forgot) in my class and the friend group my otheer friend joined has 5 people so shes the 6th so theyre prob gonna have a group of 3 and another group of 3 which leaves 5 other girls (3 minus me and my other friend) and the other 3 are already working tgether so we're gonna have to split up 
          
          you see, this wouldnt be a problem if we werent friends with the ther group
          IF THIS DOESNT MAKE SENSE
          group a : 3 random girls we dont know
          group b : the other 2 random girls and my friend ( the one who left us, i dontk now how to word it better srry, but i swear im not salty) 
          group c: 3 girls that we're kind of friends with
          
          so one of us are going t have to join group c and the other with group b, this project will last another 3+ months impretty sure so we dont wanna be stuck with people we dont like and i cannot and i mean CANNOT talk with randos bc i have no idea how sensitive they r
          
          im literally having a midlife crisis because i dont wanna leave my friend with group bcuz she and the friend that left us dont really hang out, and the friend that left us doesnt really like her
          
          but i cant and i mean CANT join group b but we arent aloud to have teams less the 3-4 or more than that so help
