Was just about to sleep when I remembered this. Another official Wattpad Award, like the Amby Awards. This time it's for short stories under 5k words and includes fanfiction. Just wanted to share in case you've got a <5k favourite you wanted to submit. It'll likely be done the same way as the Ambys, with a submission form, but it's not open until the start of September (until the end of September).

Oh, just wanted to point out something you might want to edit. On the chapter 'Goodbye' when it says 'While Jarka makes herself comfortable...', the word 'While' splits in two and goes down onto the next paragraph.

@scarlett21122 There are prizes, such as stickers to add to your book and community promotions of your story, but honestly, these community competitions are just a bit of fun. But, by joining them, others who read through the competition get to see your story. So winning is just a bonus.

@scarlett21122 Because this is a community competition, there is no linked form. It's slightly more intimidating but not too tricky when you get used to it.
            
            First you have to read the rules on the first page and complete them:
            1. Follow the profiles TheHappyWriter and Footnoteofhappiness.
            2. Add the book to your public reading list.
            3. Follow the judge when one is assigned (there's no judge yet, there was one but I think she dropped out).
            4. Leave a comment on the first two chapters of your judge's book (when one is assigned).
            5. Tag 5+ of your followers on your participant form.
            6. Add the tag #fanslovetowrite to your story.
            7. Answer the password (currently 'what is your favourite animal?) on your participant form.
            
            Then on page 3, which is the participant form, you add a comment with the following information:
            
            Username: @scarlett21122
            Title: Tomorrow
            Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
            Number of chapters: 29
            Mature: Yes (sexual content on one chapter)
            All rules followed: Yes
            Password: [Whatever your favourite animal is. It just proves you've read the rules]
            Tags: [use the @ symbol to add five followers to tag them]
            
            Then you're all signed up!

Hiya, sorry for messaging on here. There is an error message coming up on FFN when I send a PM. I hope it isn't having a technical issue.
          
          There's essentially two ways to get the URL. Once the story is published, the easiest one can be found here:

          That link involves finding the 'share' button on your published story and then just copying the whole thing.
          
          But if you wanted to find out while it's still a draft, then while you're in your story main editing page (after clicking on Write - My Stories - [story title]) you'll see on the URL at the top of the screen, something like www.wattpad.com/myworks/ followed by a 9 digit number (and possibly more random letters and numbers that you don't need). If you change the link to say 'story' instead of 'my works' and keep that same 9 digit number then that's your link, e.g. www.wattpad.com/story/354445317 is mine.
          
          Bear in mind though that each individual chapter has a different number, so make sure you're in the main page, with the story synopsis/description/tags/chapter list, to get the link to the main page, rather than an individual chapter.
          
          The latter method can only really be used if you're working from a desktop computer though. I don't know how to find out that nine digit number while working from a phone while it's still in drafts. Also, if you test it out while it's still a draft, it won't yet appear as it's not yet live.
          
          If you want, when it's published, I can share the story on my conversation board on my profile to my followers so you can see exactly what the link is. Do you know what time it's set to publish?

@scarlett21122 I think after rankings have refreshed (they refresh once a day), it might appear without me needing to search by exact title. They usually refresh 5pm-6pm my time, so maybe 11am-12pm your time. So excited for you. I'm wishing you all the luck in the world with it on this platform. This story holds a dear place in my heart. Words can't express how much I love it.
