All throughout our history, words have been used to inspire, to lead, and sometimes, to mislead. As someone who writes, I know how powerful words can be, but I also know they lose their meaning if not followed by action.
I don’t speak from power, only from the side of ordinary people who live with the consequences of broken promises. What’s decided above always finds its way to us below—whether in opportunities delayed, services that never reach, or lives left waiting. That’s why people raise their voices: not to fight for attention, but to remind leaders that power is not a privilege, it’s a responsibility.
Real leadership isn’t proven by speeches or applause, but by integrity and accountability. It’s not about how loudly promises are made, but how faithfully they are kept.
I stand with fellow Filipinos who refuse to grow numb, who continue to hope, and who will not forget. Because silence has never built a better future, only truth and accountability can do that.
