Thank you so much for reading! And with "Why She Should Speak" I didn't have to work hard for background because those characters weren't mine. That one shot was for a competition. But "The End of Them" is all mine.
I don't believe I'm a very good writer and honestly I haven't written much as you can see.
So this is kinda an obvious one but just keep on writing if you have ideas. Don't stop. For me when I stop and edit I end up criticizing my own work and I don't get far and I end up getting discouraged, and that's why most of the novels ideas I have don't work out for me anymore.
Another thing is to plan. Honestly, I hate planning but it's helpful. I make a list of characters I want and put possible traits and names. I also have a plot diagram of sorts and I describe what happens during the climax or resolution, etc.
You could go on google and find prompts related to a topic that you want to write about, such as love. It's a very good starting point.
And lastly, don't rush your story. Your story is a one-shot, a short story, so development may be tough. And also don't be so eager to post the first thing you've got.
Hope I helped! And thanks for voting!
