            Violet sat down at her bed as she watched Ivana, a soft sigh escaping her nose. “College. Work. You know— the usual. Sorry.. I’m not very good at responding to people. Not even my own family.”

                 Ivana eased herself down from the window she’d been climbing through , landing gracefully and brushing herself off with a small smile.  She strolled over to a chair , settling down in it before spinning around in it once , soon facing Violet.  “ So . . .  what’s been keeping you busy , hm ?  Haven’t seen you in about a week. ”

            “I’m not blaming you, Ivana. I am just trying to do what’s best for our child. She’s not getting any better and I’m worried.”
