"More cheating cases?" she asked in the quietest tone of voice she could, as she stood beside her. Her friend seemed to be watching something... or better, someone.

Jennifer followed her and stood to the side, taking the helmet and pretending to study it as she kept an eye on the guy. In the meantime, she rested her hand on V's lower back, ready to use her as an alibi in case the bad guy caught her looking. The joke, though, made her laugh abruptly, almost like she hadn't planned on finding it as funny as she actually did— swaying closer before the guy seemed to start up his car. "It's an awful car. Makes you wonder where he's gotten all that money from." She was back into action mode, getting onto the back of the bike. "Give it a few seconds."

V got on her bike and held out her own helmet for Jen to take. Nothing in this world could make her feel any differently about her friend. She knows there's no way she's wrong about it. She's someone to admire, someone to draw inspiration from, someone... you'll inevitably fall in love with, if you get to know even a little bit about her. The way she was so ready to help others, taking all these dangerous cases. If it was only for the money, she would take the easier ones and dismiss the ones who truly came to her door because they needed help. She's like... a superhero, in that sense! In V's eyes, she could never be less than that, or any less than awesome! "His car is sooo suspicious. Look at it, it's a pimp's car! You can tell a lot about someone just looking at their vehicle alone. I already decided I don't like him," she added with humour, just to shake off some of her own tension.

She wasn't playing fair, and perhaps one day she'd apologise! But, right now, she wanted to know if there was something here or if she was just making it up. What if they had dinner and V decided she was wrong about how she felt? And that Jen wasn't worth liking in that way. Well. It was worth a try. "Good idea." The change of subject did make her smile to herself, which felt like a good sign, but she allowed it. She should focus a little more on the guy she was watching, she supposed! She waited for the other to take the lead and draw them closer to her bike, lagging behind a little to make sure he didn't suddenly drive off as they moved.
