Is it bad to ask Watty's to check out my books? 
          1st of all, I don't think so. 'cause they may can like my stories.
          2nd of all, I am not forcing them to read it. I am just requesting them.
          3rd of all, In Wattpad we all are like friends. And of course we can ask help from our friends. And if they also needs help, I will definitely help.
          
          So I don't think it's called self promo. It's called, 'Helping each other in need'
          
          I hope you understand & wouldn't misunderstand my word. Peace✌

            hello! just to clear everything up, yes it is still a form of self promo, just that one benefits and the other does not benefit nor is at a disadvantage. so long as you dont constantly do it, its fine :)

@Remi_bts_iu im not trying to be rude , but you're NOT helping them , it is self gain because somebody liking a book is not necessarily helpful whereas helping you gain reads is a benefit to you , self promotion is the promotion of oneself on another's 'property' , by posting messages on other's message boards , you ARE promoting yourself .
