* the brunet is light on his feet as he nears the maintenance worker — the movement seeming quite ominous due to the lack of vocal announcements from the animatronic. it's odd. * au — au — * / THAT'S / why. the animatronic's voice box is fried , something which happens frequently these days , & he's come to get it fix. you can't be the lead singer without a voice. *

* as the animatronic complied , august smiled . a smile that only the robots of this place got to see . hell , maybe this was a type of smile that only freddy himself got to see . the corners of his lips tilted upwards with a genuine joy for his job , just from something as simple as switching out a part . most people didn’t have that pleasure . regardless — nimble fingers reached into the opening , pulling the sparking , worn down box from his throat with no fear of being shocked . but , still , he was definitely shocked . the buzz went through his fingers , only making him barely flinch before sliding the new box in place * aaand , there ! all better .

* he watched the mechanic , eyes filled with genuine interest despite being through this procedure multiple times throughout his career. august was the first mechanic he actually ENJOYED working on him. perhaps it was because he wasn't an aggressive old man .. who knew ? he listened to him speak , giving a small nod of his head before complying — releasing the metal which held his neck piece in place ,, opening the compartment with a HISS. *
